Data Deletion Instructions

You can delete your Budgy account and all associated data at any time. We provide two options: in-app deletion (fastest) or email request.

Option 1 — Delete from Inside the App (Recommended)

This removes your account and all of your personal data immediately.

  1. Open the Budgy app on your phone
  2. Go to the Profile tab (bottom-right)
  3. Tap SettingsAccount
  4. Tap Delete Account
  5. Confirm — your account and data are deleted immediately

Option 2 — Email Request

If you cannot access the app, email us from the address linked to your Budgy account:

Subject: Data Deletion Request

Include: The email address, LINE ID, or social login (Facebook/Google/Apple) you used to sign up.

We respond within 7 business days and complete deletion within 30 days.

What Gets Deleted

  • Your profile (name, email, profile photo)
  • All transactions, budgets, categories, goals, and groups
  • Receipt images and AI conversation history
  • Subscription records (where legally permitted — some billing records must be retained for tax/audit purposes)
  • Social login links (LINE, Google, Facebook, Apple)

What May Be Retained

We may retain limited information when required by law, such as:

  • Anonymized analytics that cannot be linked back to you
  • Payment records required for tax and financial reporting
  • Records required by court order or applicable law

Facebook Login Users

If you signed up for Budgy with Facebook, you can also revoke Budgy's access from Facebook directly:

  1. Go to Facebook Settings → Apps and Websites
  2. Find "Budgy" and click Remove

Removing app access from Facebook does not automatically delete your Budgy account. To fully delete your data, use Option 1 or Option 2 above.
